Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau was established by merging six existing hospitals in Barcelona. The current complex was designed to provide a modern, healthy environment for patient recovery, featuring interconnected pavilions set within gardens. In 2009, medical services were moved to a new facility, and the historic site was repurposed for cultural and research purposes.
