Established in 1951, Hospital del Niño DIF Hidalgo was the first pediatric hospital built outside Mexico City. In 2010, it inaugurated new facilities to provide high-specialty care to children and adolescents up to 18 years old. The hospital offers over 40 medical and surgical specialties, including oncology, neonatology, and complex surgeries. It serves the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo and neighboring states, focusing on vulnerable populations.
