About Us :

Hospital Estadual Central Dr. Benício Tavares Pereira (HEC) is a public tertiary care hospital located in Vitória, Espírito Santo. Managed by the Fundação iNOVA Capixaba, HEC specializes in high-complexity surgeries, particularly in neurovascular, orthopedic, and vascular disciplines. The hospital has become a statewide reference for non-traumatic neurosurgery and cerebrospinal neoplasms. Notably, it is the only public hospital in Espírito Santo authorized to perform mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke, a procedure available in only six public hospitals across Brazil.
