About Us

The Hospital for Tropical Medicine, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University is a tropical disease institute with readiness and excellence at the Asian and global level. This building was given the name “Rajanakarin” to commemorate the grace of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra.

The Hospital for Tropical Medicine is a specialized hospital that provides treatment for tropical diseases, including malaria, various parasitic diseases, liver disease, infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. In addition, it provides 24-hour malaria screening services and general internal medicine treatment. It also provides special clinics such as the hookworm clinic, travel and tourism medicine clinic (Travel Clinic), gastrointestinal and liver disease clinic, Chinese medicine (acupuncture) clinic, and Thai traditional medicine unit.

But since the Tropical Medicine Hospital is a specialized hospital, there is no surgery department, obstetrics department, or accident department.
