"Hadji Dimitar" Hospital Ltd. is the largest medical institution in the Sliven region, established and developed with private investments. It is owned by Dr. Penko Penkov and his family. It is the legal successor of "First Private Hospital - Sliven", which began its activities in 1992."Hadji Dimitar" Hospital Ltd. has a contract with the National Health Insurance Fund and provides free medical care to health-insured patients .The hospital consists of 3 blocks .The first block is located in the city of Sliven at 5 Dimitar Pehlivanov Street. It has 17 inpatient departments with 260 beds and 8 operating rooms . Each department has an individual luxury room for a regulated fee. The hospital administration is also located in this main building.The second block is at 19 Hadji Dimitar Blvd. It houses Specialized Outpatient Care for Eye Diseases, an Eye Department and a Rheumatology Department with a total of 20 beds and 2 operating rooms .The third block is located in a separate building next to the first block at 5 Dimitar Pehlivanov Street, with an entrance from the service parking lot. It is furnished and equipped for the operation of the newest hospital structure - Specialized Emergency Department. It has 4 intensive care beds in a shock room and a triage with 2 places.
