About Us

Hospital Municipal e Maternidade Ruth Cardoso (HMRC) was inaugurated in 2008 and began serving the public in October 2011. Since 2012, it has been managed by the municipal government and is linked to the Municipal Health Secretariat. The hospital provides entirely free care to residents of Balneário Camboriú, the AMFRI region (over 680,000 inhabitants), and tourists from across Brazil and abroad. HMRC is known for its multidisciplinary team and a strong focus on humanized, comprehensive care, with a structure designed to serve both routine and high-complexity cases.
