Hospital Regional de Balsas (HRB) was inaugurated in 2017 and serves as a key state-run medical facility in Balsas, Maranhão. Managed by Instituto Acqua in partnership with the State Health Department (SES), the hospital is a reference center for medium and high complexity care. It specializes in high-risk pregnancy, general surgery, pediatrics, and other medical services for over 246,000 residents across 14 municipalities in the southern region of the state.
