Hospital Estadual Dr. Roberto Arnizaut Silvares (HRAS) is a major public hospital in São Mateus, Espírito Santo, managed by the state government and part of the SUS network. Inaugurated in 1987 and restructured in 1989, HRAS is the largest and most important hospital in northern Espírito Santo, serving as the main reference for 14 to 29 municipalities, including patients from southern Bahia and eastern Minas Gerais. The hospital provides 24/7 urgent and emergency care, hospitalizations, elective and high-complexity surgeries, and specialized outpatient services. HRAS is also a key center for organ donation and transplantation in the region.
