About Us :

Hospital Santa Catarina de Blumenau (HSC Blumenau) was founded on June 27, 1920, by the Lutheran Community and began as a 50-bed facility. Today, it is a modern hospital with 21,000 m² of built area, offering 152 beds, including 20 Adult ICU beds, 10 Neonatal and Pediatric ICU beds, 18 Mental Health Clinic beds, and 15 en-suite rooms. The hospital is staffed by around 1,000 employees (40% nursing staff) and 400 physicians across 46 specialties. HSC Blumenau performs approximately 3,500 urgent care consultations, 750 inpatient admissions, and 600 surgeries each month. The hospital is committed to providing safe, empathetic, and efficient care, with a focus on innovation, teamwork, and sustainability.
