Founded in 1876 by the Brazilian Imperial Family and named in honor of Empress Thereza Cristina, Hospital Santa Teresa is a historic and leading healthcare institution in the Região Serrana of Rio de Janeiro. Since 1900, it has been managed by the Sisters of the Associação Congregação de Santa Catarina, who have guided its mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care.
