Hospital Serrano was founded under the name Day Hospital Nossa Senhora do Líbano, with only eight beds. We opened our doors in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro as a Day Hospital, an American concept of a hospital facility in which patients receive care, treatment or rehabilitation during the day and return home at night.
Six years after opening, the hospital underwent expansion works that allowed the development of new offices, another floor of rooms, a 24-hour Intensive Care Center and its own clinical analysis laboratory, offering residents of the region new possibilities for care and service, in addition to a more complete hospital experience.
In April 2016, under new management, we became Hospital Serrano. Since then, we have made several investments, such as the installation of a fully equipped surgical center with operating rooms and a satellite pharmacy, which have contributed to the growth of Hospital Serrano.
Our main objective is to build a welcoming environment for our patients, offering a humanized hospital experience and complete care.
