Hospital Universitário Cassiano Antonio Moraes (HUCAM) is the teaching hospital of the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), integral to the training of health professionals in the state. Located in Vitória, it serves as a strategic reference center for the capital, neighboring municipalities, and the wider region, including patients from Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro. HUCAM is renowned for its excellence in medium and high complexity care, offering services in general and cardiac surgery, high-risk maternity, intensive care (adult and neonatal), hemodynamics, and more. The hospital is also a national reference in areas such as AIDS and multi-resistant tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment, bariatric and gender-affirming surgeries, and care for victims of sexual violence. It is a vital site for teaching, research, and extension activities, supporting undergraduate and postgraduate programs, medical residencies, and multidisciplinary training.
