Inaugurated on March 19, 2025, the Hospital Universitário do Ceará (HUC) is a state-of-the-art public hospital located within the Itaperi campus of the Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE) in Fortaleza. Spanning 78,600 square meters, the facility comprises three specialized towers—Clinical, Surgical, and Maternal-Child—across seven floors. With a total of 832 beds, including 180 complementary beds, HUC stands as one of Brazil's largest public hospitals. The institution is dedicated to providing high-complexity medical care while serving as a hub for teaching, research, and innovation in health sciences.
