Hospital Universitário Evangélico Mackenzie (HUEM) is the largest private medical center in Paraná, Brazil, and serves as the teaching hospital for the Mackenzie Evangelical College of Paraná. Founded in 1959, HUEM is a philanthropic institution dedicated to providing high-quality, humanized healthcare and medical education. The hospital operates across four facilities and is a reference center for complex care, research, and innovation, including Brazil’s first multi-tissue bank. HUEM handles over 1.1 million outpatient visits annually, with about 90% of its care provided through the public health system (SUS).
