The Hospital Universitário da Universidade Federal de Roraima (HU-UFRR) is a new federal university hospital under development in Boa Vista, Roraima. Managed in partnership with the Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares (EBSERH) and linked to the Ministry of Education, HU-UFRR is designed to be a high-complexity teaching hospital. It will support the training of health professionals, foster research and extension, and strengthen the public health system (SUS) in the region. The hospital is part of Brazil’s federal investment program (PAC), with construction and expansion planned between 2024 and 2027, and an estimated investment of R$1.5 billion in university hospitals nationwide.
