Established in 1945, HVB is a national reference in the treatment of envenomation, combining over six decades of experience in patient care, teaching, and research. The hospital is renowned for its clinical and epidemiological studies, development of therapeutic protocols, and training programs for health professionals. HVB also provides 24-hour emergency services and technical support to the Ministry of Health, making it a cornerstone in Brazil’s public health response to venomous animal accidents
