Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex, established in 1941 as the “1,000‑Bed Hospital,” remains a cornerstone of Iranian healthcare. Located at the end of Keshavarz Blvd in Tehran, the complex includes Imam Khomeini Hospital, Vali-e Asr Hospital, the Cancer Institute, imaging centers, and paraclinic units. With over 1,200–1,300 active beds, 34 medical departments, and multiple ICUs, it functions as the country’s largest referral, academic, and trauma hospital—serving thousands of patients each day.
