Established in 1934 as Shah Reza Hospital, Imam Reza Hospital is one of the largest public hospitals in Mashhad, Iran. Spanning 28.5 hectares, it was later integrated into Ferdowsi University in 1975 to serve as a medical training center. Following the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the hospital was renamed to honor the eighth Shia Imam, Imam Reza. Today, it functions as a first-class general hospital and a prominent educational and medical center in the country.
