About Us :

Intensive Specialty Hospital of Louisiana (ISH) is a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital serving patients in Northwest Louisiana, particularly those needing extended care beyond what's typically available in general hospitals. They have two campuses, in Shreveport and Bossier City. ISH specializes in complex conditions, offering services like ventilator management, advanced wound care, and rehabilitation. The Shreveport campus also provides psychiatric and addiction medicine services.

My mom received good care here. They were very attentive and even though they seemed a little short staffed, were always kind and helpful. The food staff and food were great, the unit clerks were quick to respond, and the medical staff was excellent. My mom had a lot of assistance from CNA's especially Pat, Linda and Mimi! Her nurses were all terrific especially Staci, Greg, Shannon and Linda. Her PT and Cedrik were very good. Respiratory Care here was excellent. There was a lot of' call button pushing' in the beginning, but we were always greeted with a smile and "how can I help". Thank you all!
