About Us :

Iowa Methodist Medical Center, part of UnityPoint Health, is a leading non-profit, 370-bed regional medical center and teaching hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Established in 1901, it has a legacy of medical innovation, including the first open-heart surgery outside the Mayo Clinic and the first radiation therapy department in Des Moines. I wanted to share this as per my own experience with the team on the 8th Floor. My mother recently passed away on the 8th floor. Room 819. I wish I could give 10 stars to the care that she received through out her short stay of 10 days. The nurses were the kindness plus most caring people that I have encountered. My mother was treated like a "Queen". I could could on & on about the care. I have never encountered this was so peaceful. Our family felt the love & care they gave. We are just overwhelmed! Thank you all you went beyond the call of duty
