hospital has undergone a transformation in line with changes in the health insurance system, such as converting from a long-term care hospital to a DPC hospital and introducing a comprehensive community care ward. In particular, the DPC ward is positioned as an acute care ward, and the comprehensive community care ward is positioned as a back-up hospital for the region, so our hospital has in effect shifted course to become a care mix hospital that covers everything from the acute to subacute phases.

Currently, Kitakyushu City and the Medical Association are jointly considering "medical and nursing care cooperation," and even at our hospital, located in Moji Ward, where the population is aging, we are seeing an increase in patient interaction not only with local doctors but also with nursing care facilities, so we intend to further enhance the medical cooperation office functions and respond proactively. However, due to the current lack of doctors, it is true that there are some areas that we cannot handle, such as treatment for acute myocardial infarction and traffic injuries. In the future, we would like to increase the number of doctors and respond to diverse needs.

We have always been proactive in our efforts to ensure medical safety and prevent infection within the hospital. Both hospitals have acquired the first-class certification and conduct mutual rounds with other hospitals, learning from their efforts to steadily advance our measures. We also hold training sessions for outsiders on rehabilitation and medical cooperation.

Finally, we would like to maintain our existing strengths in acute care in the fields of gastroenterology, liver disease, orthopedics, and rheumatism/collagen disease, which cover everything from internal medicine to surgery, while striving to become a hospital that is even more community-based in the future.
