Since the establishment of the hospital on October 1, 1945, it has been built on the planning and construction of various infrastructures by our predecessors who worked day and night without sleep. Since moving to the current address of the Zhongzheng 1st Road campus on March 21, 1977, our hospital has gone through decades of hard work. Not only has it continued to change and improve with the increasing domestic economic demand and changes in the social environment, but in this era of ever-changing technology, the medical environment is very different from the past. In addition to the reform and improvement of soft and hard facilities, we have also worked hard to study and delve into medical technology and medical skills, and have never slacked off or relaxed. At the same time, we have also actively participated in hospital evaluations, external competitions and academic exchanges to learn and grow, constantly encouraging self-reflection in order to innovate and seek change. In order to improve the quality of medical operations, the construction of the "Military Medical Building" began in 2008. A helicopter pad is planned to be set up on the top floor to cope with future disaster medical evacuation operations in remote areas. It was officially opened in January 2013.
At this point, our hospital has entered a new era of medical care, especially after we merged with the Gangshan Branch, we were able to fully demonstrate our rapid and effective organizational benefits in the medical support operations for the "August 1 Gas Explosion" in 2014 and the "2006 Tainan Earthquake" in 2016.
