No matter how difficult my Journey was, I never met a more compassionate group of Doctors, Nurses, and Staff. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, Stage 3. My time at Karmanos Cancer Institute was in June 2015 & been in remission ever since. Mindset is everything, and advocating for yourself is important. My relationship with my Doctor is excellent. The staff shows compassion for any concerns you may have. There is never a long wait, the facility has been kept very clean. I felt I was in good hands, and friends who had visited felt the same. The road was not an easy one for anyone with cancer.

Went to Karmanos on a recommendation from a friend who did the same 11 years ago. I was looking for a second opinion for my cancer diagnosis and treatment options. Dr. Assad was fantastic, she was very thorough and on the ball with current trends. She didn't rush me and answered my questions.
