Established on January 1, 1999, the On-demand Services Department 1C was created to meet the increasing demand for high-quality, patient-centered medical care as living standards improved. The department reduces hospital overload, serves as a model for exemplary medical examination and treatment, and enhances both hospital revenue and staff welfare. It has evolved through several names and was renovated from the old emergency clinic. The department features fully equipped facilities, including ultrasound, X-ray, laboratory, CT scanner, MRI, and endoscopy. There are multiple units: general examination, minor surgery, ECG, urology, two operating rooms, a recovery room, and 67 inpatient beds with modern amenities (TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, private bathrooms)

• Comprehensive care for most specialties including gastrointestinal, liver, urinary, trauma, thyroid, and more

Patients receive care from expert professors, doctors, and surgeons from both within and outside the hospital. The department is equipped with advanced technology and offers high-quality, patient-centered services. It is the only public surgical department at the central level in Vietnam where patients with private health insurance can receive both inpatient and outpatient care with fast, streamlined insurance procedures. Patients can also choose their surgeon and surgery time at no extra cost
