Kien Giang General Hospital is the largest and most important healthcare facility in Kien Giang Province, serving as the referral center for the region. The hospital covers a large area (4.2 km²) and provides comprehensive medical services across a wide range of specialties. It is a key player in the province’s healthcare system, supporting both curative and preventive medicine, and is undergoing significant expansion with new hospitals under construction to reduce patient overload

Quality

A 2020 study found that 85.9% of patients had a positive experience with the care of medical staff, 74.2% with treatment information, and 31.7% with facilities and environment. The overall positive experience rate was 65.5%, with the highest satisfaction in General Surgery and the lowest in Cardiology. The hospital is recognized for its professional staff but has ongoing efforts to improve facilities and patient information
