About Us :

Kindred Hospital Dayton and Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is a 97-bed hospital. With 51 long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) beds, we offer the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. Our 46-bed behavioral health unit offers treatment for adults ages 18+, including dedicated services for geriatric patients. The unit offers 24-hour supervised psychiatric treatment and crisis support for mental health issues and like the LTACH, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. We are located downtown Dayton near the I-75 and I-35 junction, to the west of the Great Miami River.

The doctors and nurses here and exceptional! I am so glad that Gregg was able to go back to Kindred instead of another facility! The care and compassion that he received was remarkable! When it came time for him to be transferred to another facility, all the nurses came to his room at one time to wish him well! The front desk ladies are awesome and extremely friendly! Cyndi (spelling) is always willing to lend a helping hand and there to answer any questions that you might have! I was even able to meet the CEO, Mr. Lee, who was also extremely helpful and friendly! I am hoping that Gregg never has to go back into another hospital, but if he does, I only want him to go to Kindred!

I’m a patient at this hospital. The care here is excellent. The staff is kind and very attentive. My recovery is going very well. My wound is healing better than expected.
