King Saud Medical City (KSMC), also known as Shemaisi Hospital, is a major public tertiary care and Level 1 Trauma Center in Riyadh. Established in 1956, it is one of the largest and oldest medical complexes in Saudi Arabia. KSMC serves as the primary referral center for orthopedic surgery, trauma, and neurosurgery in the country and is the busiest emergency hospital in Saudi Arabia. The complex includes the General Hospital, Pediatric Hospital, Maternity Hospital, Dental Center, and the King Fahad Charity Kidney Center. It is also a leading center for medical education, research, and training, with affiliations to multiple medical schools and advanced residency programs
