Since opening on December 1, 2002, our hospital has contributed to regional medical care as a core hospital in the northern part of Fukushima Prefecture. In Date City, Fukushima Prefecture, which has a large elderly population and does not have its own municipal hospital, we provide medical care as a regional support hospital that handles acute medical care, sharing responsibilities and coordinating with Yanagawa Hospital (a convalescent hospital) and Hobara Central Clinic (outpatient clinic), both of which are operated by our corporation.

Despite suffering double damage from two earthquakes in 2021 and 2022, the hospital was designated by the prefecture as a key medical institution for COVID-19 infections from February 1, 2021, and has been accepting positive patients. In addition to operating a "fever clinic" together with the local government and medical associations and ensuring a medical care system as a "basic vaccination facility" for COVID-19 vaccines, the hospital is also working with the prefecture and public health centers, primarily with doctors from the Fukushima Medical University Endowed Department of General Internal Medicine and Clinical Infectious Diseases, which is located within the Kita Fukushima Medical Center, to continuously provide various policy-based medical care, such as providing guidance on infectious disease countermeasures to medical institutions and facilities.
