Kitwe Central Hospital (now commonly known as Kitwe Teaching Hospital) is a major tertiary healthcare facility serving the Copperbelt region and beyond. Established as Llewlyn Hospital in 1958 and renamed in 1964, it serves as a referral, teaching, and research hospital with a strong legacy in clinical service and medical education. With a daily patient traffic of up to 1,300, it provides comprehensive care for the region’s second-largest city and surrounding districts.
