Ladakh Heart Foundation (LHF) is a non-profit, non-political charitable trust established in 1997 by Ven. Lama Thupstan Chogyal in Leh, Ladakh. The foundation was created to address the growing need for cardiac and general healthcare in the region, particularly due to the high altitude and extreme climatic conditions that predispose the local population to cardiovascular diseases. LHF operates a free, volunteer-based hospital in Leh and conducts medical camps throughout Ladakh, providing accessible healthcare services to the community.

Tsering Angmo praises Dr. Tsering Lhandol, Ladakh's first gynecologist and a Padma Bhushan awardee, for her dedicated service. Dr. Lhandol continues to provide voluntary treatment at LHF, offering essential healthcare to women across Ladakh, including remote areas like Zanskar, Kargil, Changtang, and Nubra.
