It was developed under the Central Sector Scheme “Establishment of New Medical College attached with existing District/Referral Hospital” and operates under the State Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Assam. LMCH aims to provide quality medical education and healthcare services to the people of Assam and neighboring regions.
