LewisGale Hospital Montgomery Emergency Room is part of LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, a 146-bed general acute-care facility delivering comprehensive healthcare. The hospital has been serving the residents of Southwest Virginia and New River Valley for over 50 years, providing a range of services including cardiology, orthopedic care, and specialized treatment for GERD. The emergency department is a Level III Trauma Center and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. I had my hip replaced there today. I can't say enough great things about my experience there. The nurses, recovery nurses, anesthesiologist, physical and occupational therapist...and everyone were wonderful. They helped me feel safe and relaxed and treated me with the best care and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Byrd...a great surgeon. I recommend if you ever need surgery this is absolutely the place to be.

ER was clean, all employees treated patient/ family with respect, listened to the issues, ordered and preformed necessary tests before admission. Employees treated you like you were their own family. Fast, courteous service. They did more in the first thirty minutes we were there than another hospital did in hours.
