Opened in 1961, the hospital provides a full range of acute care services. The Greta and Robert H.N. Ho Psychiatry and Education Centre (HOpe Centre), opened in 2014, offers mental health services at the hospital and outpatient clinics

1. My overall experience with a post-op complication both on the emergency and the day clinic was great! Doctors were patient and attentive, and even though the complication was kind of a mystery, they did their best to help. Shout out to the Radiology team that was extremely patient with my fears and trauma, helping each step of the way for my exam even though that put them in a tighter schedule (and my appointment was changed without the office responsible informing them I would arrive early!). Nurse Kate deserves loads of praise she was awesome.
2. I would like to give a shout out to nurse Karen at Lions Gate Hospital. I went in for a biopsy, I was very nervous and anxious and she made me so comfortable and relaxed and chatted with me like I was a human being. I can’t express my gratitude for her and the other nurses and doctors that helped me while I felt I was at my lowest point. Thank you for making my Monday morning so light!
