Established in 1916 as a gift to the city of Ames by Captain Wallace Greeley in memory of his wife, Mary, the medical center has grown into a 220-bed regional referral center. It serves a 13-county region in central Iowa, providing high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services. ​

No matter what the need is - from a regular check-up to a full-blown emergency (I've had several of both) - the care team is ready and always professional. My primary doctor is Dr. Arbalaez. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. My local oncologist is Dr. Merchant. He's also terrific. Even though my primary oncologist is in Mexico, all 3 doctors have worked hand in hand together as a team. I LOVE Mary Greeley and highly recommend them

Woo, I am incredibly impressed with the good service of this hospital, the nurses and the hospital staff from the moment you walk in.They are extremely kind, they explain the procedure very well in my fiancé's case of hip replacement surgery. He is already walking with the help of professional therapists. They make sure that the family and the patient feel comfortable and well cared for. 200% of the time, I am 100% proud of having chosen this hospital.
