Akbar Pediatric Hospital is the biggest state children hospital in the northeastern part of the country which was opened as a medical center in the holy city of Mashhad, capital of Khorasan Razavi Province, Shahid Kaveh Boulevard in 2017.
The hospital with 250 licensed beds was constructed at 6-storey. Around 60% of the cost was met by Sarvar Charity Foundation in Mashhad. The hospital established on a land area of 22,000 square meters has different departments and clinics.
In November 2019 Akbar Children’s Hospital acquired the educational center license from Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran. It is also well-known as the largest pediatric medical center in Khorasan Razavi province offering a complete range of health care services for children from birth to 18 years of age.
Akbar Pediatric Hospital includes a wide range of sub-specialty departments including Surgery, Neurology, Neonatal Intensive Care, Infectious Diseases, Urology, Immunology and Allergy, Outpatients, Endocrine and Metabolism, Gastroenterology and Hepathology, Psychology, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Rheumatology, Cardiology, Pulmonary, Endoscopy, Physiotherapy and Orthopedic. Moreover, it includes multiple sub-specialty clinics like EB, Infectious, CF, PKU, Lupus, Cleft lip and palate, Speech Therapy and Autism.
The hospital has approximately 150 active clinical and educational staff in medicine including sub-special doctors, residents, fellows and interns and over 300 nurses who are all expert in giving sufficient care for children, neonatal and pre and post- surgical cases with modern equipment.
