Read real patient testimonials of Memorial Hospital West and discover inspiring stories of healing, compassionate care, and life-changing experiences at our hospital.

1. First, I would like to thank everyone that has helped me here at the hospital. I have received nothing but great service. My first night here, I met a nurse named Sarah and a patient care assistant Teresa. Both of them were very attentive, and were there whenever I needed them. Honestly, they have been one of the best nurses I have ever encountered during a hospital stay. They make you feel comfortable, and on top of that they’re always there to help. They have compassion, and they love what they do. They are servants and people persons.

2. Yesterday April 16, 2024 I took my sister to this hospital's ER, we arrived around 6 pm because she had been sick and ended up going to Baptist Urgent Care where she was diagnose with Pneumonia and Fluid on her lung and was told to go to the ER ASAP. Our check-in process was very quick and we were told to have a seat and we will be called once they have a room for her. We waited for 3 hours and so we approached one of the attendants who by the way was rude when we asked her how long the wait was gong to be, she responded "you haven't been waiting that long there are others here waiting for 5 plus hours" making their response sound like they were so proud to tell us this. A nurse approached us and said that the ER was backed up and they are waiting for available rooms in the hospital to open up so that they can move patients from the ER to their rooms in the the hospital. My question to you all is why was this not mentioned to us in the beginning giving us the opportunity to either wait or go to another facility given my sister's situation??? I understand the urgency of other patients who had more severe illness that were there, I understand how this works because I have relatives in the medical field who are Doctors, nurses etc.
