I had surgery back in January forgot to leave a review. My surgery nurses were so attentive and caring. I was not well coming out of surgery and they literally nursed me back to health for hours. I threw up on all of them. Never once did they get frustrated or make me feel bad. They held my hair wiped my face and treated me as if I was one of there own family. I can't thank the nurses enough!

Mercy Hospital, as you can see from the reviews, needs work. During our four day stay, it felt like the GI consultants were not 100% focused; they kept saying I developed diabetes even after I reminded them that I hadn't eaten for several days. Some of the doctors and nurses were nonchalant as if they were filling in for true healthcare workers; one nurse let my call light ring a hundred times before she detached herself from her perch to check on me. Another nurse vanished for the majority of her shift and was angry that we were frustrated. We refused to shower in the dirty restroom-- that wasn't touched until we complained on the last day. Most of the doctors, specialists, and experts had only theories...and it truly felt like we would have grown old in a prison hospital...with no plan of action or release. Why did I give this a five star Google rating? Two reasons: Nurse Esther and Doctor Anwar. These two professionals made sure that we knew they truly cared. They answered our questions, heard our concerns, and pushed communication through the team. Esther treated us like family; she made us laugh and was always a kind, caring professional. Dr. Answar was the only doctor willing to talk plainly and honestly EVERY TIME we had a question. Honestly, they exemplified the values and character values plastered on every wall. The five star nomination is for them.
