Minnie Hamilton Health System, established in 1983, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for the residents of Calhoun and Gilmer counties in central West Virginia. Following the closure of Calhoun General Hospital in 1995, MHHS was formed through a community-driven effort to continue providing essential healthcare services. Today, MHHS operates as a comprehensive, vertically integrated health care delivery system, encompassing a critical access hospital, community health center, nursing home unit, swing bed unit, oral health care, rural health clinic, and 340B pharmacy services.
