1. Had my double hip replacement surgery on April 19/24 at the Misericordia Community Hospital. I had to be there for 6:30am, then my surgery was at 9:00am Dr. Paul and his team were excellent. They were so professional and explained everything to me so l would understand what was going to happen. Nice touch Dr. Paul playing my favorite song Massachusetts by (the bee gees) when l was put under. My surgery was over by or around 11:30am and l woke up in the recovery room. They had me back in my room around 12:15pm. My hospital stay was also excellent and l can’t say enough good about the staff and how well l was treated. Also my Physio team was awesome, l didn't feel rushed and was reassured that l was not going to be sent home till l was ready. I was sent home on April 23/24. Again l would like to thank Dr. Paul for giving me my life back.
2. I have a long history of bad hospital visits where the doctors, nurses or paramedics made me feel worse than my illness. I was hesitant to even come to a hospital today when I cut myself pretty bad on some glass, because I was scared of reliving past troubles. Dr. Wilson (I hope that's her name - brown hair, ER, ex military) was the best doctor I have ever had. Sure, she stitched me up flawlessly, but more than that, SHE WAS KIND and personable, and said some really impactful things that has made me feel so much less afraid to come back to the hospital in the future should I need to. I am so impressed by her care. The world needs more good people like her. This country needs more doctors like her. Give this woman a raise. Thank you Dr. Wilson.
