Shahid Motahari Hospital was established in 1928 with 25 beds and has grown into a 286-bed facility. It serves as the main pediatric referral center in northwest Iran, offering emergency and surgical care. As a teaching hospital affiliated with Urmia University of Medical Sciences, it is dedicated to training medical students, interns, residents, and nurses.
