1. I really didn't expect much from mount Druitt hospital, but my god I was blown away. After being hooked up to an IV, I was taken to the ward which had an area where you can make your own cereal, toast, and get drinks. I was then given a private room with my own bathroom and shower with a TV. Food was great and the staff were lovely. This will definitely be my new hospital of choice. Lesson learned: never judge a book by its cover
2. I attended the emergency department at 3am for suspected broken ribs and for pain management. The Emergency Department was extremely busy. I seen the triage nurse within half an hour, had tests, put in a wheelchair, took painkillers and sat in the waiting room. Eventually went to Urgent Medical Care ward, saw a doctor, more tests, more painkillers and discharged.
I would like to thank the nurses and doctors for their professionalism and great attitude.
They did a great job considering the pressure and heavy workload that they were under.
