M'tendere Mission Hospital began as a small Rural Health Centre in 1965. Over the years, it has expanded to cover an area of 5,460 square meters with a capacity of 145 beds. The Hospital serves a theoretical catchment population of around 18,000, spread across eight major villages. Due to its professionalism, advanced medical equipment, and excellent services, it operates as a referral centre for the entire region, as well as some areas in the neighboring countries and districts. This increases the number of inhabitants in the catchment area to more than 60,000. However, should our patient services fail to meet demand, the University Teaching Hospital in Lusaka is our referral point.​

By now we offer an extensive range of public health , Administrative, in-patient and out-patient  services, including Laboratory, Ultrasonography, Endoscopy, Radiology, Operating Theater, Dental Care, Mother and Child Health, Pharmacy and many more. we are located in Chirundu, a township in the Southern Province of Zambia, right in the Zambezi valley bordering Zimbabwe, approximately 150 km from the capital, Lusaka.
