About Us
The MultiCare Covington campus first opened in 1993 as the Covington Clinic. One of the first medical clinics in Covington, we have grown in size and expanded services to meet the changing needs of this fast-growing community. In 2012, we brought emergency services to the community for the first time when we added an emergency department to the campus, located adjacent to our original clinic building. In 2018 the campus grew again when we opened a new, four-story hospital building. MultiCare Covington Medical Center was dubbed the Cecchettini Pavilion, in honor of MultiCare’s former president and CEO, Diane Cecchettini, RN. The hospital brings much needed patient care services to Covington, including hospital rooms especially equipped to treat pediatric patients and other amenities. Today, the MultiCare Covington campus is a multi-function, neighborhood health care hub providing hospital/inpatient care as well as outpatient surgical services, primary care, specialty care, urgent care and emergency services, and other supportive services such as pharmacy, lab and imaging all in one convenient location.

My husband was transferred here at night for an emergency appendectomy. He felt well cared for by nurses and physicians on the med/surgery unit and the OR. Communication went well between staff and since he was doing well he was discharged less than 24 hours from arrival. The room was clean, spacious and well lit. The nurse managed ekg and minor ultrasound in the room in addition to other nursing tasks. Very competent and efficient! Highly recommend this hospital!

They do the best they can especially with how busy it clearly gets. The patients can be quite rude and impatient which makes sense as to why the nurses/doctors may not always be in the best mood. I went on a super busy Monday night and they were filled and still communicated and were very kind. They do have a long wait time but it’s understandable given how busy the ER tends to get. Wish the people reviewing had more compassion for others! Happy holidays!
