N S Memorial Institute of Medical Sciences (NS Co-operative Hospital), Kollam is one among the best multi-super specialty co-operative hospitals functioning in Kerala. NS Co-operative hospital works under the Kollam District Co-operative Hospital Society, a society that has been envisioned with the aim of bringing to the community the highest standard of medical care along with education and training. Our society owns over 25 acres, which house NS Memorial Institute of Medical Sciences (NS Co-operative Hospital), NS Ayurvedic Hospital & NS Nursing College. It is governed by the guiding principles of providing medical services to patients with care, compassion, and commitment.

                NS Co-operative Hospital was started in 2006, in memory of the late Com. N. Sreedharan, an illustrious human, and great politician - popularly known as N.S, the hospital tries to live up to his values. N.S was a great propagator of the Communist Movement in Kerala, an idol in the socio-political field, and a favorite leader among the masses. He died in an accident while serving as the State Secretariat Member of the party on February 17th, 1985 at Kottarakkara. N.S. Memorial Institute of Medical Sciences was inaugurated by Sri. Prakash Karat, General Secretary, Communist Party of India (Marxist) in presence of Sri. P.K. Gurudas, Hon: Minister for Labour & Excise, Kerala, Sri. P. Rajendran, Member of Parliament, Kollam constituency, and other eminent personalities. We enter our 15th glorious year in the path of service for the public, and we continue to win their faith and confidence through our altruistic efforts. Every year more than 6 lakh patients benefit from our services and the hospital has become an icon of healthcare in Kerala.
