Namazi Hospital, founded in 1950 by Mohammad Namazi, is a prominent teaching hospital affiliated with Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS). Initially established with 22 residential villas for physicians, the hospital has expanded significantly over the years. By 1975, it had grown to include a polyclinic building and a six-story parking structure, increasing its capacity to 750 beds. The hospital is renowned for its pioneering work in organ transplantation, particularly liver transplants, and has a dedicated oncology department.
