Established in 1951, Nishtar Medical University (formerly Nishtar Medical College) is one of Pakistan's oldest and most prestigious public-sector medical institutions. Located in Multan, Punjab, NMU offers comprehensive education in medicine, dentistry, nursing, and allied health sciences. Its affiliated teaching hospital, Nishtar Hospital, began operations in 1953 and has since become one of the largest tertiary care hospitals in the country, serving a vast population across South Punjab and neighboring regions. ​
