Established in 2011 in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi - NMC ProVita focuses on providing comprehensive medical, rehabilitative, and therapeutic services to patients who require long-term care, including those with chronic illnesses, disabilities, or those recovering from surgery or severe injuries. The company operates various facilities such as specialized hospitals, medical centers, and home healthcare services. NMC ProVita aims to deliver personalized care, tailored to the specific needs of each patient. They have a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, who work collaboratively to ensure the well-being and recovery of their patients.NMC ProVita then expanded into admitting and treating post-acute rehabilitation (PAR) patients. A programme that was set up to treat in-patients who needed intense therapy over a period of a few months before being discharged home. In 2015 NMC ProVita opened its first ‘hospital in hospital’ long term care & rehabilitation unit within NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi. In addition to the NMC ProVita services it also has the added advantage of acute hospital services such as ICU and radiology that can be offered to NMC ProVita patients.

NMC ProVita became the first Long Term Care facility in the UAE to achieve Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) in 2013. It has continued to successfully renew this accreditation every 3 years, most recently in 2019. In addition NMC Provita also achieved the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF) in 2017. In 2020 it became the first and only LTC to achieve CARF accreditation for both the long term care and in-patient rehabilitation program.
