Northern Command Military Hospital (NCMH) was established in 2014 after the Zambia Army took ownership of its current location in 1991. The facility serves as a common user health facility for military personnel from all branches, their immediate families, and the local surrounding community. Designated by the Ministry of Health as a referral facility for all military health units in the northern region—including Copperbelt, Northern, Northwestern, and Muchinga provinces—it also serves Ndola District civilians.
