Founded in 1976, Quy Nhon Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Hospital is a leading center for orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, and prosthetics in central Vietnam. The hospital serves not only Binh Dinh Province but also neighboring provinces and mountainous areas, providing comprehensive care and support for patients with disabilities, trauma, and victims of unexploded ordnance (UXO). The hospital is also a key provider of prosthetic limbs and rehabilitation equipment for UXO victims and others in need

The hospital has made significant advances in staff training, surgical techniques, and rehabilitation services over the past two decades. While the prosthetics factory is productive, much of the production remains labor-intensive and is targeted for modernization. Quality assurance is managed through experienced workshop leadership and regular evaluation of patient outcomes
