3 days ago I had ACL reconstruction surgery at the Riverside. From the moment I was signed, in to the time I was picked up by my husband, it was a positive experience!!! I was extremely impressed with the Surgical daycare unit - what an amazing team! The atmosphere was very professional, but relaxed at the same time, which helped to completely put me at ease.
The nurses were friendly and fun. The anesthesiology team were the same. At every single step, they ensured that I was aware of what procedure was being done and where, and that I had every opportunity to ask questions if I didn't understand something. My orthopedic surgeon has a great reputation and I can see why- he is so kind and calm and this seemed to be passed along to the resident surgeons as well. The recovery nurses were gentle and thoughtful, and made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. I was given very thorough post op instructions to take home with me. This morning I took off my dressings as instructed and was amazed to see no bruising and very minimal swelling- which tells me that they treated me very gently during surgery, as I bruise easily.
Thank you so much to the doctors, nurses, and everyone else that took such good care of me! If ever I need another surgery, I hope it will be at the Riverside again.

The only hospital change my mind about healthcare in Canada I did abortion operation and stuff and the doctor was very nice and helpful with my situation I appreciate your help me to pass this difficult decision god bless each one make easy on me this day my baby with a Syndrome and it was broken my heart thanks a lot
